Why would you want to be a thought leader?

Whether you're a business owner or working for an employer, no doubt you're aware of the strongest thought leaders in your industry.

When news breaks, who do you immediately think, "Ooh, I wonder what <blank's> take on this will be." 👈that's a thought leader.

But why would anyone sign up for that? Why would you want the attention? the scrutiny? the following?

And true, it's not for everyone. But it's also not all about fame and clout. A position of thought leadership can be excellent leverage for your career goals: whatever they may be.

🏢 If you're working in-house; having influence and industry recognition can position you for promotions, career progression, or board positions - or even be your ticket out to a new career move like consulting.

💼 If you're running a business; it can raise awareness of your expertise and attract new clients.

🎙 In any setting; it can establish you as a commentator and create media interest.

What thought leaders do you follow? What do you like about their content?
