Every business has stories to tell.

So often I speak with people who don't think their business lends itself to content and storytelling.

While it's true that some industries change more rapidly or are more likely to make the news, there are always great stories to be found if you only look.

Here are some of my favourite 'quick wins' for unearthing content ideas:

💡 Top customer enquiries & FAQs: these are your best indication of what your audience wants to know. Address common questions in short explainer articles to fill them with confidence.

💡 Objection handling: what holds people back from purchasing from you? What stands in their way? Get ahead of the pushback and make a counterargument to help their purchasing decision.

💡 Bang for buck/recycled content: What content do you already produce that you can use to generate more opportunities? What can you edit, re-cut or refresh to save time and effort? Work smarter, not harder.

💡 Client stories & testimonials: As readers, we're drawn to human stories. Showcase how working with you has helped someone solve a problem and tell the story in their words.

💡 What's in the news? Reflecting on what's new or newsworthy in the industry shows you're relevant and up to date and can build your following as a news aggregator or thought leader. * Note: this can be more demanding as it needs to be timely and responsive, rather than scheduled in advance. You don't want to jump on a breaking news story three weeks after the fact.

💡 Behind the scenes: Showcase your production process, your working environment, or a day in the life of your business. Give your audience a peek behind the curtains.

💡 Meet the team: Introduce the people behind the brand and put a face to the name. This helps build personality, relatability and trust.

Just one idea in each category will give you almost two months' worth of weekly content - and from there, the sky is the limit.
